Why the hell is my man Super Steve Slaton not putting up MVP type #'s this season?

I played with Steve at WV, hes very talented and can have a great game any day. The reason he doesn't have the numbers is because he is a threat and teams no that. When teams game plan defensively against a team like the texans, it makes more sense to shut down steve and make shaub beat you. Similar to what teams do with AP.
