Golden Gate Park Website Pictures and Articles...Legal?

I'm hoping someone may have some feedback on the following: I love Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. I am both a writer and photographer. I would like to build a website featuring my photos and articles about the park. But I question the legality of doing so. Does anyone know if this is legal or not? Would the pictures I take of the museums be considered in public domain? I look forward to any feedback and hope you have a great weekend ahead. Thanks in advance.
