My son lost his job and cannot pay his bills he is constantly phoned by the bank even on sundays is this allow?

We are constantly bombarded with phone calls at all times of the day and evening from silent calls from the banks and other financial companies. Im sure I read somewhere that there are rules about this especially after a time at night and on Sundays. Can anyone help?
