Did anyone else find the acting of Robert Paterson lacking in his portrayal of Edward Cullen?

No one agrees with me, all my friends and family members burst into righteous anger at any insult to Paterson, but seriously he was always so stiff and forced. Some times his portrayal of Edward pissed me off. Like when they were in the forest and Bella is about to reveal to Edward that she knows he is a vampire, Bella asks how old Edward is and he barely chokes out an answer. It was supposed to be immediate, to show how far deep he conceals himself. Anyway your opinion is appreciated, but flames really aren't needed, you can disagree with out being condescending.
