POLL : pastel nail polish or gothic nail polish?

Actually of late i've been wearing really bright shades like hot pink, orange, lime green, turquoise, mango yellow. But if its a formal event I either do a french manicure but most of the time i keep by nails short with black or red nailpolish. It looks chic.
