How would I know if I had either of these. I started my period when I was 13 and they have always been very irregular. I have between 3-6 periods per year. At the age of 21 I started taking BC pills in college to regulate my periods so when they did come it was bearable and so I would know when they were coming. I went off the pill 5 months ago at the age of 24. I had a period after my last pill and then one more 4 months later- that one lasted for 25 days. :/ I just finished that looooong period and I am meeting with a menstrual specialist next week. My mother had endometriosis, so I am wondering if I am at risk for that. Since being off BC in Sept I have been TTC, but never got a positive surge on an ovulation kit. Could I have endometriosis or PCOS? If so, how to they know and how do they test for it. Is it curable...? My mom's endometriosis was cured with a hysterectomy. What questions do I ask the doctor next week? Do you think there is any chance I could ever get pregnant?

Right- we own 2 laptops and 1 computer in our family home. And we have had microsoft office 2000, and 2003. But we have had a student/professional 2007 Microsoft- trial for 60 days. And then it ran out last month. So, we got another one exactly the same. But, now it won't really work propily. We put the disk in, and then the product key and all that stuff we fill it all in, and etc...then says it's ok and trial installment was successful etc....and then we open one of them- eg.- Microsoft word. And then it says "Your trial pack has gone out of date and stuff...do you wan't to convert etc..." And then it won't let us use it at all. Why do the hardwood floors in my home crackle when walked upon?

I purchased a home that had Harris Tarkett natural maple hardwood flooring installed a couple of years ago. This flooring is throughout the living room and hallways. The problem is, most areas crackle and echo throughout the house when you walk on it. It's very loud! The foundation of this home is slab. Do you think maybe it was the adhesive used? My girlfriend brought me 2 goldfish, Luke and Lilly, 9 days ago, after 4 days I thought the tank was a bit empty so I went to my local aquarium shop and asked which plant would be the best for them and the shop istant picked one out for me. Before putting the plant in, I did a 50% water change because the water was looking very murky. 2 days later, I thought luke was asleep at the top of the tank in the plant, but after further investigation realised he was dead. I promptly removed him from the tank and cleaned out the tank also doing a 60% water change, in which i added a dechlorinator. I put Lilly back in the tank and she didn't look good as she was lying on the bottom of the tank barely opening her mouth, when usually she opens it wide. I added some disease safe and after 20-30 mins she was looking a lot better. Over the next few days, lilly looked a lot healthier and well. But earlier today, I found her dead on her side at the bottom of the tank, can anybody help me to find out why/how they died?

I had water coming out of window air conditioner vent after rain? Any fix for this?

I just installed a new window AC this weekend. It is properly tilted out of the window for drainage. Last night we had a minld thunderstorm. When the AC kicked on in "energy mode", water started spraying out of the top vents. Not a lot, but enough to be concerned. For the month of march, Either every other week or every week. I MAKE myself through up a couple times a week. Now before anyone asks, I do not wish to be skinny or think that's how i want to loose weight. If i wanted to lose weight id do it the right way, exercise and portion meals. It started in the beginning of this month. I would eat greasy foods a lot in school. For example, cheeseteaks, bacon, egg && cheese sandwich. But id order off the lunch trucks. && they have a greasy stove they cook it on. SO one day i began to get this burn in my throat. Like it hurt and burned, so usually in the past when id make myself throw it up, id feel better. Now the burn comes often and yesterday i did not eat mainly all day. I woke up i ate this pizza and you heat up in the microwave, when i went to school. I had me some coffee and bought a juice to go with it. When i was in cl, i got the feeling to throw up but also the burn in my throat, i tried making myself throw up but the rest rm was over crowded. I went home tried throwing up, a little came up. I left out and when i came back i felt sick i tried making myself and i threw up a little. I took a nap and woke up feeling so sick i tried throwing up. A little came out, so i was hungry and served myself some food. But when i sat down i looked at my meal(rice, chicken and a side of tomatoes) i just didn't want to eat it but i was hungry. So i tried eating a tomatoe and as soon as it went down i had a feeling of it coming up. This is when i started to feel really sick. i drank ginger ale and i had the burn in my throat and made myself throw it up. It was disgusting. i finally just got so depressed and scared that its becoming permanent. I called a nurse (after hour clinic) she told me to go to an emergency rm(planning an appt) i told her when i throw up i taste this nasty liquid like medicine sometimes and its yellow. she said she thinking its that im starting to make the liquid from my stomach come up. She also told me to get checked for open sores in my throat, the acid i throw up is whats making the burning. I know its my fault and i have a problem. I just HATE being sick so i make myself throw up to get red of the feeling...ANy words??? or advise??

Punishment for lying, do you think I was too harsh?

My 4 year old daughter has been telling lies a LOT lately. Big things and little things and I've really had enough of it. She usually gets time out and loss of privileges. Well earlier today I took her and her younger sister on the train to the Zoo. Sophie had been in trouble earlier in the morning for various things (she's really pushing my ons lately!). I warned her before we went out that any misbehavior would end up in us coming straight home. Well all the way on the train she wasn't listening well, then when we got to th Zoo she started asking for ice cream. I told her after lunch she may have one if she stopped asking. Consequently she threw her lunch in the bin when she thought I wasn't looking, then told me she'd eaten it when I asked her. So we went straight out of the Zoo (we'd only just got there and hadn't seen anything) and she came straight home to her room. Probably some loose cartilage. Its really hard to say for sure without doing an MRI. I say MRI because it shows everything. Cartilage can have small pieces separate and do what your describing. It also could be calcium deposits that break away from bones in the area. I would say if the pain doesnt go away pretty quick, returns, or there is swelling, you should go see a Sports Medicine Dr. The reason I suggest that specialist is because they see knees all the time and would know the most about it.

Talk to your step mom....(good luck) it's worth a shot if you just sit her down tell her you love her and appreciate her being there for you and want her to be involved for those reasons but you want to be able to plan the wedding you want. I know how you feel, I am having serious problems myself. It makes you feel lost and unhappy with yourself. I one day woke up and realized that I don't need to feel that way anymore and I didn't deserve to be treated like that anymore. I made some serious changes and have moved on with my life there are moments everyday that seem hard but sometimes the piece of mind is worth it. Live for yourself and make sure that you are happy. You're in the middle of a midlife crisis gone way south... Your mother's feelings are fairly common for women her age, although her reaction sounds abit extreme. Many people (women & men) have feelings of regret and think that their lives should have amounted to more after many years of marriage. I have several friends who have divorced over this. Some people get over it and stay married and some do not. Your mother is painting herself as the victim because of all the sacrifices she's made, but it doesnt work like that. Only you control your life and only you can change it. If things were that bad she should have done something to change it before she became so miserable. To blame that inaction now on your father, you, or anyone else is petty and immature. She may in fact be angry at herself for not having the guts to change her life for the better. Often it's the husband who gets hit hardest with this, as we have been churning along, also sacrificing for the sake of the family, children, wife's happiness, etc, but never considering just bailing on it all to have a fleeting attempt as a second childhood. Your mother will realize this eventually but for now it sounds like the die is cast. Sorry to hear your father's failing health complicates things; I tend to agree that your mother's pulling this stunt now is cruel and selfish. But selfishness is what midlife crises are all about. I can't offer you much other than to let you know you are not alone many people go through this to varying degrees. Be there for your father - even though he may seem invicible and strong because that's what we fathers try to be - he will be hurting because he has invested a tremendous amount of emotion in your mother and has probably thought of her as his companion and soulmate for life, even if she didn't, and is just now realizing that he doesn't have anyone. He has you of course but that's different obviously. Good luck to both of you so sorry you have to deal with this.

Had now l opening is swollen shut---advice?

Ok so my husband and I got a bit drunk and had a couple hours of , which included quite a bit of time of him using his fingers inside me. I was understandably sore the next day. It is now 5 days later and after day #2 I started having some pain around my l opening. Day #4 (yesterday) was just awful. I did as much examining as I could stand, and noticed that my l opening is basically swollen shut. Headache Question - Sorry, I know there are tons!?

Question for those who suffer migraines. Friday AM i was clearing my throat and ended up gagging myself - i have a VERY SENSTIVE gag reflex - anyway - as it was AM and i had nothing in my stomach - i was retching pretty hard and just white foamy stuff came up - i'm uming the nasal drainage i was trying to clear. Anyway - when i stood up (i was hovering over my sink b/c i wasn't near the toilet when this happened) i had the worst headache i'd ever had - my face was bright red - i ume from all the blood rushing to it and my sinuses too - anywho - the headache lasted for about 5 minutes - i blew my nose about 5 times and each time it eased the pressure in my head. After the headache intensity subsided, i had this dull achy head all day - it went way Saturday but Sunday it was back but just in the back of my head on the left side - nothing helped it but lying down in the dark room. Today it's just dull - not sure if it's tension from retching or a migraine - anyone?

How can I get my 8 month old kitten to stop attacking my older cats?

I just adopted an 8 month old male kitten (about 11 pounds). I already had a 6 yr old female (only 7 pounds) and 16 yr old male (19 pound maine-coon mix). I had the cats separated at first, but they seemed to get along well right away. There was no hissing through the door, a lot of curiosity on all ends, and when they saw each other, no one would attack. So they remained separated for just a few days. I stupidly umed the kitten would be calming down at this age, but I was wrong. He wants to play all the time and the older cats want none of it. He is especially interested in the 6 yr old because she's smaller, faster and somewhat playful herself. When he is awake and in the same room as her, he does not give her more than a minute's rest. Whenever he attacks, she hits him, hisses, growls and runs away. She is truly upset, but the kitten thinks she is playing, so he doesn't give it up. She has taken to hiding whenever he is around and her quality of life has gone done dramatically. I know the 8 month old was weened early, found without a mother or litter mates at 4 weeks old, so he may have never learned what kind of cues from other cats mean, "quit, I've had enough." How can I train him to stop pestering the 6 year old?

Parents, how would you feel if your child...?

My teen boys are into some of it and my toddler likes to head bang along. Maybe it was those years ago buying the onsies with guitars and such on it where I went wrong. Haha. Really I don't mind. I could possibly be raising a band. One of the teens can wail on a guitar and the other knows how to shout rock without destroying his voice. Anything is possible. Of course drugs and some of the scene is a bit of a concern, but so far my boys are showing some wisdom about that.

I'm only in 9th grade, and there are 8th graders at the middle school who smoke like a chimney and tell stories all the live long day about what they did when they were plastered. Whats going on?

okk so i've been going out with this guy for 2 years, and he goes through time periods of acting like he's REALLY interested, and then he goes through time periods like he's not interested AT ALL. I'm running out of ideas...whenever I hug or kiss him he looks at me really blankly and looks very distracted, and whenever I play hard to get, he asks me why i'm not being affectionate. I would like your thoughts on Boise State. Do you really believe the blue turf is why they win at home (think about it, they don't lose on the road much either)?
