What to do about competitive SIL about children...?

Some people are just competitive by nature about everything, including their kids. It would bother me too because I know my son doesn't hit milestones early or anything but he is doing quite well developing and learning at his own pace. I would just tell her that babies are not cars and one should not be compared to the other.
