I had a fight with my friend about high school. Please help!?

My best friend and I are in 8th grade so this is the year that we have to decide what high school we want to go to. I want to go to one in my town that has a good reputation but she wants to go to an agricultural school in a nearby town. She doesn't want to go there for the nature and animals, though. She thinks it will be like a cool fancy private school (which it's not) like Pacific Coast Academy on Zoey 101 or something. Anyway, I don't want us to go to different schools because I hate change and I don't want to lose her. However, I didn't know how to tell her this so instead I was being a brat and telling her bad things about it (like how she hates farming and would hate it there and stuff like that.) I felt bad but we ended up having a big fight over it. I don't know what to do! Please help me.
